My Journey (Lesson 1): Defining Creativity

Will start this entry by answering some of Mr. Yap Sau Bin's questions.

how do you define creative?
Well..creative is being yourself. In my point of view, being creative is to express yourself in other way people dont think of. Creative people usually success in delivering quite heavy message just with a simple design/ short ad/ short vid/ etc.

are you creative?
I am not but I will be. (Ganbatteh!!!)

why are you in this faculty of creative multimedia?
I believe I can be a creative person with lecturers help and guidance.

creative vs creativity?
i dont know how to explain it in words but as for my point of view, creative is like an idea before we want to draw something. On the other hand, creativity is realizing our idea using tools such as brushes, etc.

Thank god. Mr Yap Sau Bin didnt ask me those questions in front of other classmates. Else, I didnt know how to answer. Hehe :P Need to work on this problem a.s.a.p.

I have to admit that creative covers all aspects in our life. How we react, How we respond, How we receive, How we process, etc. As mentioned by Mr. Yap Sau Bin, to be creative, you have to be brave to change. Change the way you see things. Change the way you respond. Change the way you used to be (in +ve ways) and etc.

Seriously, I didnt get to see the "cat" form from one of the pictures that Mr Yap Sau Bin asked us to guess. I thought it might be a tiger? or maybe hand? or..maybe nothing? :P haha.. Blur~ so, change! change the way you see things, my dear friends.

p/s: For those who sees cat on your first attempt, come on la. click my facebook badge and add me. want to be your friend.. i might as well end up being creative like you :P

-----------------------------------------------------------

For Lesson 1's assignment, I had been informed that:

Creative Image of your friend – please scan and put it in the blog with descriptions, expressions, experiences, etc. Send this image to your friend. Use the creative image your friend has done of you as your avatar/photo of you in the blog

So, here it goes...For this task, I draw Noor Wayuna, one of my classmates in this class. We known each other since 2006. Left: Original image. Right: Creative image

Description: I did this using Adobe Photoshop. I draw her face by using brush tool. As for the original picture, I capture it while we were in the restaurant, having lunch with other classmates.

Expressions: Confused

Experiences: As you can see from the original photo, she's confused. Clearly she's having difficulties in determining which menu should she choose for her lunch.

Creative image: As for this image, I want to represent her expressions. Currently, we faced similar issues, on how to be creative? what is creative? the questions mark on her head represent the issues. Her fingers represents her pose of thinking. If you see clearly, her finger pointing to the head, which represent clearly how important the issues are.

So, what do you think friends? Can you see clearly what I'm trying to say? Drop your comments. I love to hear your opinions :)

Creative is about HARD WORK. It is about sweat, blood and tears. by Mr. Mustafa b. Md. Muzer

He might actually forgot about his own quote, but for me, creative is simply as what he said. I am not naturally gifted as a creative person. But to be creative, HARD WORK is indeed compulsory. He did gave me new things to hold onto "I can be creative. I just have to work 3 times than others. say YES to HARD WORK."
